Projecte d'investigació-acció: Violència escolar i integració social

En aquest treball es presenta el Projecte d'Investigació-Acció realitzat pel grup Lisis de la Universitat de València. Des del model ecològic, l'interès està a analitzar i prevenir la conducta violenta entre iguals a l'escola. Per a això s'ha aplicat en una mostra de 1319 adolescents d'edats compreses entre els 11 i els 16 anys una bateria d'instruments. En aquest article s'exposa, a tall d'exemple, un dels models d'equacions estructurals calculats en aquesta investigació. En concret s'analitza l'efecte directe i l'indirecte del clima familiar en la conducta violenta entre iguals i en el context escolar.
Masculinity in flux? : Male managers navigating between work and family

The article sheds light on male managers’ experience as fathers in a post-Soviet context in Lithuania. This empirical study of 12 male managers’ experiences of work-family integration (WFI), their ways of coping with negative experiences, and the role of organizations in reducing conflict and enriching WFI, reveal the emergence of a new paternal identity: fathers who perceive their role as caregivers but for whom this is still subordinate to the dominant role of the breadwinner. Relying on their wife is a man’s dominant coping strategy. Organizations are perceived as family unfriendly. The managerial implications of the need for organizational support are discussed. peerReviewed
Nondeterministic operations on finite relational structures

Abstract This article builds on a tutorial introduction to universal algebra for language theory (Courcelle, Theoret. Comput. Sci. 163 (1996) 1–54) and extends it in two directions. First, nondeterministic operations are considered, i.e., operations which give a set of results instead of a single one. Most of their properties concerning recognizability and equational definability carry over from the ordinary case with minor modifications. This article describes Cosa Nostra bosses’ psychological characteristics starting from research data collected over almost twenty years (1994–2013). Through the use of fragments of interviews to justice collaborators and their wives, children, and sisters-in-law, we analyze the boss’ role and relational context. This article also reports the results of a recent research on the relationship between boss and white-collar workers, carried out through the analysis of environmental tapping recorded at a famous Sicilian Mafia boss’ house: Giuseppe Guttadauro. Work processes are conducted in various contexts and they involve different tasks, interruptions, activities and actions. In all of these, tacit knowledge plays a part. Some part of that tacit knowledge can be externalized and articulated by continuously monitoring the users activities.
